Zero

How do you communicate with a neighbourhood rather than about it? And what if you don’t understand each other? How do you create a new narrative around sustainable energy? How do you approach the energy transition differently? How do you reach a neighbourhood?

How do you communicate with a neighbourhood rather than about it? And what if you don’t understand each other? How do you create a new narrative around sustainable energy? How do you approach the energy transition differently? How do you reach a neighbourhood?

We handle the communication for this project, and we do so by first getting to know the neighbourhood thoroughly. We attend local festivals, take to the streets, interview people and spend days in the shopping centre. In this way, we create a campaign that doesn’t come into the neighbourhood from the town hall, but goes from the neighbourhood to the town hall.

Impact

The energy transition means something different to everyone. For some, it means turning the heating down a notch; for others, it means renovating their home. The challenge is that we are all interdependent. We cannot solve this on our own. But your problem isn’t always my problem either. Zero works with and alongside residents to find solutions that work. Not a quick fix, but getting to know one another and searching for answers together.
