For Art and the Meaning of Existence (Kunst en de zin van het bestaan), we developed a concept centered on "wholeness."
In this design, every page acts as a reflection of both the preceding and the following one. In the visual essay, for instance, this is expressed through "after-images" and "pre-images" each visual reveals a trace of what came before or what lies ahead, creating a continuous, interconnected whole. This theme culminates on the cover, where every image from the entire book is layered to form a completely new narrative.
Onno Zijlstra is a philosopher with whom we have had the pleasure of collaborating before. His openness to our creative input makes the process a true partnership. For this edition, Onno granted us the freedom to weave our own references into the visual essays, allowing the design and the philosophical content to become inextricably linked.
